Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF)
The SHP is part of the Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF). The CNEF 1970-2009 contains equivalently defined variables for the US - Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID), the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP), the British Household Panel Study (BHPS)/(Understanding Society), the Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA), the Canadian Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics (SLID), the Swiss Household Panel (SHP), the Korean Labour and Income Panel survey (KLIPS), and the Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey-Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE). The data are designed to allow cross-national researchers to access a simplified version of these panels with guidelines for formulating equivalent variables across countries.

The CNEF-variables of the SHP can be obtained through 2 channels:
1. Download CNEF variables of SHP (registered users only)
2. Comparative CNEF-data of all member countries
The CNEF data (CD including all member countries) and documentation can be acquired through Cornell university. They will email you an invoice for $125 (US). Once they receive your payment, they will mail you the disc. Continuing users get free updates of the data. Contracts with the separate institutions responsible for the panels need to be signed to access the data on the CD (more details).
To access the SHP-CNEF file on the CD provided by Cornell, please follow these steps:
STEP 1: Sign the SHP_ CNEF Data contract.
In the contract you will need to describe your project. In signing the contract you agree to respect the obligation for data users, in particular to protect the confidentiality of the data.

Das Schweizer Haushalt-Panel (SHP) ist Teil des Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF). Das CNEF 1970-2009 beinhaltet äquivalent definierte Variablen für folgende Panelbefragungen:

Die CNEF-Daten sind aufbereitet worden, um Forschern, die sich für längsschnittbezogene Ländervergleiche interessieren, eine vereinfachte Version der Paneldaten und einen Leitfaden zur Konstruktion äquivalenter Variablen über die Länder zu geben.

Die SHP-CNEF Files können auf zwei Arten erhalten werden:
1. Download die CNEF Variablen (nur für registrierte User)
2. CNEF-Daten für alle Mitglied-Länder
Die CNEF-Daten (CD mit sämtlichen Mitglied-Ländern) und die Dokumentation können auf der Homepage der Cornell University angefordert werden. CNEF wird Ihnen eine Zahlungsaufforderung von über $125 (US) zustellen. Die Daten-CD wird Ihnen nach Eingang Ihrer Zahlung zugesandt. Weitere Daten-Updates sind kostenlos. Um Zugang zu den Daten auf der CD zu erhalten, müssen mit den einzelnen Panel-verantwortlichen Institutionen Verträge unterzeichnet werden (mehr dazu).
Um die SHP-CNEF Daten auf CD via Cornell University zu erhalten, gehen Sie bitte folgendermassen vor:
SCHRITT 1: Unterschreiben Sie den SHP_ CNEF Data Vertrag
Im Vertrag werden Sie gebeten, Ihr Projekt kurz zu beschreiben. Durch die Unterzeichnung des Vertrages willigen Sie ein, die Bestimmungen für Datenbenützer zu respektieren und insbesondere den Schutz der Daten zu gewährleisten.
SCHRITT 2: Senden (oder faxen) Sie den Vertrag an das SHP

Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF)
Le PSM fait partie du Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF). Le CNEF 1970-2009 contient les variables harmonisées du US - Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID), du German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP), du British Household Panel Study (BHPS)/(Understanding Society), du Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA), du Canadian Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics (SLID), du Panel suisse de ménages (PSM), du Korean Labour and Income Panel survey (KLIPS), enfin du Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey-Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE). Ces données permettent aux chercheurs, pratiquant des comparaisons internationales, d’accéder à une version simplifiée de ces panels, ainsi qu’aux lignes directrices concernant la construction des variables équivalentes pour les différents pays.

Pour obtenir les données CNEF du PSM, deux procédures sont possibles :
1. Download les variables CNEF du PSM (seulement pour les utilisateurs du PSM)
2. Les données comparatives du CNEF pour tous les pays membres
Les données CNEF (un CD contenant l’ensemble des données des pays membres) ainsi que la documentation peuvent s’obtenir par l’intermédiaire de l’Université de Cornell qui vous enverra une facture de 125$ (US). A la réception de votre paiement, l’Université de Cornell vous enverra un CD de données. Les utilisateurs recevront gratuitement la mise à jour des données. Des contrats avec chacune des institutions responsables des panels devront être signés séparément afin de pouvoir accéder aux données disponibles sur le CD (en savoir plus).
Pour accéder aux données PSM-CNEF fournies par l’Université de Cornell, suivez les étapes suivantes :
ETAPE 1. Signer le contrat de données PSM-CNEF disponible ici (contract).
Dans le contrat, vous devrez décrire votre projet de recherche. En signant le contrat, vous vous engagez à respecter les obligations des utilisateurs de données, en particulier celle de respecter la confidentialité des données.
